Nicole Costa (Santiago, Chile 1975) is a Chilean born, New York-based actress, filmmaker and producer with a career spanning more than 15 years. She received her Bachelor in Dramatic Arts from University of Chile in 1997.

In 1998, she moved to Spain to study Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid. Since 2012 she has lived in Brooklyn, New York and has continued working in audiovisual production as actress, director, and cinematographer. In 2017 she received the award of Best Actress at the Queer Lisbon Film Festival for her role at the film The Objects of Love (2015) by Spanish director Adrián Silvestre.

In 2018 her short film Danger & Alone, co-directed with Mary Monahan, premiered at the Santiago International Film Festival (SANFIC).

Her first feature documentary film The Journey of Monalisa (2019), has premiered at IDFA (Netherlands), DOC NY(US), Le Festival de Biarritz Amérique Latine (France), Queer Lisboa (Portugal), BarcelonaDocs (Spain), Diaspora Film Festival (Korea), Vox Feminae (Croatia), among many others; obtaining the award for Best Documentary at the Zinegoak Festival (Spain, 2020), the Special Jury Award of FEMCINE10 (Chile, 2020), the Márgenes Award at REDFECI (Chile, 2020) the National Film Award for Best Feature Film at DocsValparaíso (2020) and the award as the Best Latinx Film in US by Cinema Tropical (2021,US).
